Gramma W visit and A PUPPY?!

Mom / Grandma Waara came for a last minute visit this weekend, and we had a great catch up. The weather has been HOT here since she arrived, and everything is in full bloom - azaleas, tulips, trees, etc. On Sunday we made an expedition to "check out" a puppy, and he came home with us! No, he won't be staying in DC - Mom is taking him back on her flight today. We hope that goes ok. He's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He's yet to be named, but here's a blurry cell phone shot of him so you can get a glimpse. He's a little cutie and very, very sweet. Arlo has really enjoyed watching him and playing and the smile is huge on his face every time he catches a glimpse or plays. The kitties are slightly less enamoured.

Busy Spring

As you can see from the photos below, we've been busy. (Sorry about the mish-mash of out of sequence pictures.) We went to the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday thanks to our friend Heather who sported us tickets. It was really fun to spend Arlo's first Easter at the White House. There are pictures of both the front and back of the White House.

Also, there are pictures taken at the Miami v. Bemidji St. hockey game at the Frozen Four. The Vogelhubers came in for the weekend and also sported us tickets to the tournament. It was Arlo's first hockey game. He is pictured being held by his cousin Blake, whose brother Trent plays for Miami.
