Allergies

The blood test revealed that Arlo is allergic to lots of common things in his life, like trees, grass, wheat, soy, dairy, nuts, etc. So, in the short term, we are washing him and his stuff more, feeding him more meat, and switching to rice. We have kept his rash at bay so far. Maybe he'll grow out of some of these allergies.

His Grandpa Augusta just left today after visiting us for a couple days. Arlo really liked having grandpa around. We had a picnic Sunday with my sister who was also in town for a conference. She brought Arlo a couple of early birthday presents, one from Grandma Roth. Mike smoked ribs.

Because of the cold rain and wind, we had to scrap the plan to camp at Assateague, and instead went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at Dulles. There are some pictures of that. Tuesday, my birthday, the three of us went to the Natural History Museum and the US Botanical Garden.
